2000 Ranger XLT center console removal

Hi Everyone!
I just purchased a really nice 2000 Ranger XLT 4X4 and am needing to remove the small center console. I'm afraid if I just start yanking and pulling on it that I will break something. Is there anyone here who has removed one already and can tell me the best way to do it?

might try searching youtube several times, once with each year in that generation (so search "center console removal 1998 ranger", then "...1999..", then "...2000...", etc) - 98-03 for the same generation, not taking into account any interior facelifts. I did a couple searches but only found unrelated) - but yeah the tech library has some pictures on how to do it (no video).
If you are good at deducing from parts diagram...

The one I put in my '90 came out of a '99 and looks similar enough that should get ya. If not post a pic of yours and we can figure out which one you have.

Hi again! It took a couple of hours but I did eventuality get the center console out this afternoon and miraculously without breaking any of the 25 year old plastic!
