2000 3.0 with flashing O/D light.. am I done?

Just drove and now O/D light is flashing.

Restart car and light went away.

Checked tranny fluid and it's about 1/2-3/4 overfilled, where it says "do not fill".

Valvoline oil change used automatic machine filling when tranny fluid just replaced. How did they manage to overfill?

At work and have a 50 mile drive home. I don't think I'm going to make it.

The O\D blinking is basically the trans equivlent of a check engine light. It means it detected a fault and threw a code.

If it gets bad enough itll go into limp mode. Personally i think youll be fine to get home but i would drain the excess fluid when you get home and if it starts blinking again id get it scanned.
