I have purchased a 2" aluminum spring spacers for the front of my 1992 2wd ranger.
There are a few questions I have hoping y'all have some input for me.
1. Do I still use the spring rubber seat between the spring and spacer?
2. My spring does not fit over the spacer, it seems like it needs to be trimmed to fit inside of the spring coil. Is it supposed to fit all the way in the spring? Or once installed, does the weight of the truck force them in?

Thanks-

I have always made a point to use those rubber (or usually, plastic) spring seats. The spring is kinda loose over the lower cup without it.

As for #2 - I don't know if those spacers were intended to be used with the spring seats. If not, the spacer should fit inside the bottom of the spring. Might be a snug fit but you shouldn't have to force it. You could grind the spacer down so that it fits... or contact the manufacturer and see what they suggest. I would not try to force it with the weight of the truck.
