ok so i've been comtemplating a new cam for my b2. shes and 85 2.8. so far i have installed a set of tube headers. my future plans are to put on a TBI unit from 80's 3.8, match intake and head ports, regear eventually to 4.56's in a d35 and 8.8. also running man. trans.
i know there are guys in here that have recamed their 2.8 so any input would be very helpful. the cams so far that i have been looking at are comp cams 252 or 264 grind. also racer walsh's stage 1 or stage 2. i am even thinking about take the specs from these cams and driving up to Delta cam in tacoma since its only and hour from me..
any input??? thanks in advance guys!!!

I installed the 264S grind on my last build. Good midrange and pull up to about 5200. I have some head work done though and unless you plan on doing the same, I would stick to a mild cam.

If I had to do it over again, I would have used the 252S grind. There are other manufacturers out there that make cams for the 2.8L, but I can't remember their names. ISKY makes some wilder grinds for some serious increases.

Almost went with them when I did my last build, but couldn't afford the amount of headwork that would need to be done to run one.

EDIT: In the specs they list a 600-650cfm carb?!?!?! Someone either made a huge typo, or they are hopelessly addicted to crack. You'd have to spin a 2.8L past 10000rpm to utilize that much carb!
