I have a 1998 manual 4.0l. Started showing signs of possible GEM FAILURE. Sometimes the dome light would work, most times it wouldn’t. I then lost all wiper functions and the cherry on top. My 4WD went out.
The truck has manual windows, manual locks, 4WD and a manual transmission.
My GEM PART# F87B-14B205-ED
As you may know it’s extremely hard to find a replacement for a reasonable price.
I removed the module and inspected it, I don’t see any visible damage on the outside or inside.
My question is if I pull a GEM out of a 97 that’s also manual and has 4WD will it get the job done in my 98 as far as regaining 4wd? The 97 GEM PART# F67B-14B205-EA. Thanks for your time and advice!
