My 96 does not have cruise. But I noticed on the clockspring I have a 5 pin connector that has only 2 wires going to it, for the horn and ground. Can this clock Spring be used with a donor 1996 ranger/explorer ribbon connector for this 5 pin connector

and harness to set up cruise control?

Here's your truck's cruise control schematic. The cruise requires 3 terminals on the clock spring, sharing one of them with the horn. The other two terminals on the clockspring are for the air bag.

Thank you so much for replying. It looks like I have the wiring past the big brown connector, but from the connector to the clock spring, which is covered in yellow plastic, it looks like I just have the wiring for the horn. So my question is, can I get The wiring from an explorer and complete the connection to the clock Spring?
