1992 Ranger 4.0L Vehicle Speed Sensor Question

Considering the one judge around here owns a beer distributor and has been caught intoxicated… I’d find a different analogy :icon_rofl:

For the record: This mechanical speedo sensor swap was a Dorman 917-614 sensor. It fit the OEM Ford part closer. The driven gear attached to the sensor was gray (17 tooth). The retaining clip for the speedo cable was difficult to remove & I never got it re-installed. I eventually used 12/2 Romex stripped down copper wire to form a retainer clip. The sensor was sending a signal to the computer but the speedometer never worked.
