Replacing pinion seal on R8 31-spline rear axle.
My current ranger is a 2008 fx4 with the 4.0 V6, 5-speed manual, and 4 wheel drive (this combination supposedly didn't exist this year but from tracking the vin and previous owners it used to be a fleet truck up in canada). Rear Pass Wheel Locked-UP '96 Ranger
ABS Light came on 3 months ago. (96 XLT Ranger, 3.0L, Rear ABS, 7.5 RG) I was driving down the road (SC) when the rear Pass wheel locked up and left a line of tread 50' long and dug into the shoulder (dirt) when I pulled over. Double Seal in Rear Pinion
Here's an interesting find on my Ranger today. 2000 XLT Supercab 4x4 3.0 Background: I got the truck from the previous owner, in trade.
