crank sensor Success! I decided to "tidy" up the garage a bit and found the install widget. Put the sensor in,turned the key and it fired right up. Thanks for the tips!

I mucked the install of my sensor and want to go through it again from step one but ive misplaced the plastic install tool that came with it. Is it totally necessary or can i work around it. Thanks!

No start Did some fiddling with the scan tool and was able to enter the particulars of the truck manually but shows no stored codes. Great..I doesn't run and apparently there's nothing wrong with it.

The story so far...New crank sensor,cam sensor,fuel pump,fuses and relay. Started and ran fine. Next day it started and ran for a second and died. Hooked up my scan tool and i get p1000. I can hear the pump prime so that seems ok(inertia switch button down) and i tried starting it with the TPS...

sensor Went out to start it this morning and it started,ran for a second and died. Now it wont restart. It cranks fine but thats it. It started and ran fine yesterday and that was after sitting for close to month.And my bluetooth OBD code reader wont pair with the phone so i cant get any codes...

I have 02 2.3l Ranger displaying all the symptoms of a failed sensor. The problem? I cant find the !@#$% thing. Everything ive read says its bolted to the valve cover but im coming up with jack. Anybody have a pic? Thanks!
