I use the selector from this site (http://www.grantproducts.com/products/browse/installation-kits/automotive/) to see what is compatible with what other stuff. So far they have been correct in every instance.
Please post photos of the drivers side - hoping to get clarity on how much interference there will be related to the front driveshaft. I know everyone says its impossible, but I would love to see photos of the driver side.
They will fit fine and likely be pretty comfortable once you are in them, but you will quickly tire of climbing in and out of them with all that side bolster...
We have a couple very good trailer hitch places in the area, and I would expect you would have at least one in your area too. That is where I suggest you go, although etrailer seems to be a decent choice as well.
Did oil and filter change (Mobil1 high mileage and Motorcraft filter) and replaced a broken front sway bar link. If I ever did offroading in this truck, I would remove the sway bar link, but since it is virtually always on the highway, I like how it corners with the sway bar.
That's maybe a little strong, but nice ones that old are hard to find so its tough to quibble over a few hundred bucks when you might not see another nice one available for a year.
My best guess is its some software thing, likely related to Federal certification of some aspect of all the blasted regulations that now exist. Ford has been doing a good job of taking care of those issues rather than letting them ride like some other manufacturers do...
They had 2024 F-150 on "quality hold" for a long time, but have started shipping them. Of course they don't tell us why they are on hold. We are very glad they started shipping the 24s because we are basically out of the 23 model F-150s.
They built a bunch, they just have not shipped them to dealers, with very few exceptions. We have some that have been built and sitting at the factory for over 2 months now...
The Mtnr wiring will not control the 4x4 functions as all the V8 Mtnr were awd with no transfer case controls. If you want to use the Mtnr wiring, you will need manual control of the transfer case.
As I understand it, you want to cut one side of the EX axle tube shorter so you can use identical axles. If you do that, you will need to reposition the spring perches or you will have one tire tucked in further than the other (by however much you cut off the axle tube).
