    the bolt battery on the back of the motor doesn’t seem to match up strangely enough, ford wouldn’t have put a different bolt pattern for the 4.0 5 speed because it’s still the same engine, no ?

    No with the torque converter in the trans and the flex plate on the engine

    Currently trying to engine swap a 2000 4.0 ohv from a 5 speed into a 1996 with the 5r44e, the flexplate, trans bolts, and threads in the engine don’t match up. Has anyone encountered this before and is there a way around it like some sort of adapter, probably should have researched a little more...
