From what I can tell it uses a purple wire with a white tracer that acts as a trigger wire for the whole system. With key on I should get twelve volts to the trigger wire but I am getting nothing. On a side note the glow plugs are a smaller problem compared to the the trucks no start issue...

I own a 1987 Ranger 2.3 turbo diesel with a 4d55t. Im experiencing a constant clicking of the glow plug relay while cranking the engine and no power to the relay with the key in the on position. Anything helps. and for those interested there is one currently on sale in Temple, Ga on marketplace

Ok so I have constant 12 volts at both injector wires. I assume this means that the pcm isn’t closing and opening the circuit due to some crank sensor issue?

I’ll try doing a pulse test at the injectors next week but I’m really scratching my head about the cause of the strange voltage readings at the crank sensor
