    77 F150 D44 and 9" ?

The 77 i believe is the same as the 78-79 when it comes to half ton... so it should be high pinion. When it comes to 3/4 ton, 78/79 is the way to go as the 77's are low pinion.

    Fullwidth to E.B. width...

No, because you move the spring perch/coil bucket to the proper location to center the axle

    Fullwidth to E.B. width...

Six inches off the passenger side. There's a great write up about it in the tech library. http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/narrowing_a_ford_dana44.htm

    Dana44 5 vs 8 lug

Bigger hubs and a bigger axle housing, everything else is the same. No real strength difference I believe. Personally I would go for the 1/2 ton for coil spring set-up and the better clearance of the 9" I do like the 3/4 set up because I won't have to get new wheels or rear axles when I...

Alright, since I am acquiring a new daily driver, I am now a lil less concerned about my rangers future drive ability comforts... Okay so I have a toyota ifs steering gear that I'll be using and I have power steering on my ranger. The toy gear is set up for power assist, but can I run it...

I don't think you need that body lift... I would say get some bigger tires but I'd be scared of killing those axles. And yes, for the love of every deity ever thunk up or in existense, get high steer and don't try to do it yourself (like trying to weld a pitman arm to your knuckle... google...

Heaven/old cars and trucks for sale (56k)

After a co worker bugged me about coming to look at his place for a couple months to see if I wanted to buy a car or eight, I finally came out. All these are for sale except for the chevy trucks. I'm in a debate between one of the Novas or Studabaker trucks as my next project/dd... opinions...

    SD 60 and Sterling in 05 Fx4

If you don't think you're gonna finish the older 88 for another two years (which is easier to work on/swap), how long do you think it will take on the 05? Leave well enough alone. You don't need two rangers sitting doing nothing.
