Thanks for reminding me. I had almost forgotten to write my rant about them.


When I first discovered Dragonforce back in high school I was impressed for a total of one week until I heard all their songs and realized they're all the same. Every single band member is more focused on hitting the right notes than showing the passion and personality that makes bands great, every single song follows the exact same formula as the next. They're very talented technically, but when it comes to actual music they just don't have it. That's why they put so much effort into playing as fast as possible, they're trying to compensate for how stagnant and sterile their music is.

Lots of guys can play faster than that. Doesn't make them great guitarists (Although their other characteristics do)

He's actually picking the strings too, not just tapping like the guy from nitro was.
