i just finished putting a 3 inch body lift on my 89 ranger extended cab. i replaced the mounts too though so i am sitting about 3.5 inches higher from where it was originally. i am getting the tires mounted within the next couple days, they are 32 by 11.5 maxxis bighorns and im putting them on 15 by 10 inch rims. and ive already done a test fit with the rim and know that they are going to rub like crazy. does anybody know a way of fixing this? prefreably something cheap and/or something that doesnt require me hacking my fenders apart that bad, a little may be okay.
thanks
Taylor

haha i thought that was gunna be the answer i would get. is there any way tho that i could do like coils spacers? or wat i was also thinking about doing was explorer leaf springs and coils for a little more lift

Honestly, my cousin threw a 3" BL on his truck and 2" coil spacers up front and it running 33's with no rubbing on body panels.

heres my old 88 ranger with a 3in BL and 32 10.50s on ten ich wides wheels only rubbed when i turned all the way

i bought 2 inch coil spacers off ebay for $50. they seem to be doing ok. its not like i'm going around jumping my truck but i havent had any problems yet. they are cheap but i couldnt bring myself to spend the 120 on the spacers and then the $30 on the camber bushings

believe it or not i got them to fit with absolutely zero rubbing. me and my grandpa discovered you can move the front bumper forward a bit by loosening the bolts and pulling it forward, so that cleared the tires from rubbin on the bumper and then we just "massaged" the corner of the cab a little bit so that nothing would rub. it looks great!

Good to hear! Post up some pics! :headbang:

what do you guys think of the diamond plating in the front body lift gap?

and sorry if their kinda crappy i will post more later

yup, 32's shouldnt really rub, ive run 32's in truck with original suspension and a body lift with 32 even 33's, 32's only ever rubbed on the rad arms, but those were also on stock wheels
