the slo-vo build thread...

the only reason im sticking with the 35 for now is just because of naysayers...if i can get on here and watch kopycat get 18 inches of travel well then i can do it also or atleast get close, just like to play with stuff....will i get bored with it? deffinantly...

i lean more towards wheeling thwn i do street driving pretty obvios since ive ran around on a welded rear end for a while but now that i have another DD its really time to get down and dirty with the ranger... tube bed and exo are in the plans

With TTB, 2.5-3" of lift is best. Most, and I mean most, problems occur when it's lifted 6" (or more), and things get wacky.

If you want 33's or 35's, cut fenders.....you'll be happier.

im not talking about lifting that tall...my max lifted height will be 3.5 inches on a 35-37 inch tire

no body lift either...lots of trimming, but thats the way i like it

From my learning experience on here.....that's the ideal lift range for the suspension.

I'm glad to hear somebody else is only doing the 3" lift thing as well.....lol

im all about low COG, id rather be low with lots of articulation scraping my way through the rocks then way up in the air articulating my cab on the rocks upside down

good news...just made a trip to the JY just to see if there was anything new around...well just happened upon a 1354 manual t-case laying under a 92 ranger...WOOOO

doesnt get any better then a $50 1354m :thefinger:

lol havent really got anything done yet, but its coming

garage is clean, ranger is in and bed is off...time to start pulling shit out

You would pick the hottest day of the month wouldn't ya? I was working on an oliver diesel engine earlier, and you had to be carefull you sat the wrenches in the shade or you couldn't hold them.

i did all that yesterday, spent tonight in the A/C :D

Oh I see you guys hiding over here on Slo-Vos thread talking whining about hot wrenches, crete, post, then throw it in our face with a $50 man Tcase!
I ain't going to the JY, if I did and found goodies, I'd have stuff piled so high I couldn't figure out what went together first. Didn't get a dang nabbit then done on the truck. I'm doing that tomorrow, no shop organizing, harrassing this new hottie down in Nashville wants me to come take her Road Glide riding Saturday. I got truck parts to install.
