i have a dana 44 HP and ford 9' 3.50 gears 9 inch lift with all the extras from a 1978 for bronco everthing rebulit to put on my 1999 ford ranger, if any one has done this before i would love to know how yours went and if you ran into any problems.

come back monday....

I am working on the same swap on my 2000. Waiting on a carrier, gears, and the install kit for my 44. I have searched like crazy. Seems like nobody has really done much with 99-newer full width. At least not with keeping the coils. One thing I can tell you is those 3.50's are going to make your ranger into a dog. That's why I am going to 5.13's. But I have the 3.0.

yeah i looked online and not much info comes up so im just going to go with it and im going to get new gears soon when i have money i just want to get the set up in and btw i got it all for 400 buck and there are recets for it being rebuilt so i got a hella DEAL.

if you check out bronco grave yard thats wat there kit is and its a bolt on kit and they give you a temp.plate for your new 11 holes you have to drill

That kit is a pile of junk. its a show truck kit and shouldnt be used for anything but a paper weight.

And many more. That was just off the top of my head.

9" is too much lift, yota box, money, regear... yada yada.

im doing a similar swap (1999 ranger ohv) in build thread. kinda put it on hold for a while but am getting back on it this week. check out some of the parts im using and it may help. im using a 60 and 10.25 but same problems. may help, may not

so should i go down is lift size then and go for a 6 inch lift then? would i run into less problems? cause i have evething to do the 9 inch lift. i just need time to put it on.

how do i change gears in my dana 44 and ford 9 inch? i have 3.50 right now but im going to go to something that will give me better gas mialge for 35 inch tires? im thinking a 4.56...

people use eb 5.5 coils alot and that gives enough room for 35s. there are alot of builds on here for coils you might want to look into 4.88s for 35s and a 3.0L

I agree with them 9 inch is to much lift, I would go no more than a 4-6 inch lift if I could afford to do it on my own rig. FWIW

yeah i bought 4 inch coil springs so im thinking that will be good and im going to try a custom long arm in the front.
