What's wrong with the 8track? we have a collection of several hundred...... and players, but those are in case ours break.

when cassettes came out we 8-track owners said ... aghh those will never catch on..lol![]()
Yeah. Now we got music as ones and zeros stored on silicon memory chips. Tens of thousands of songs on a device about the size of a pack of playing cards.
8 Tracks were the way God meant for music to be played in a car!
Seriously, I can play virtually any format on my home stereo system:
Reel to Reel
Vinyl
8 Tracks (record and play)
Cassettes
CDs
I even have a 3 cartridge 8 Track changer and an old Motorola underdash unit if I ever get an old car I want to "restore" properly.
If it's music and you enjoy it the format is unimportant.![]()
I have an 8-Track tape deck and a bunch of tapes I would like to get rid of. As far as I know the tape deck works. It was just fine when I quit using it.
