Rear Main Seal

[88 Ranger 4x4]

I have a 89 ranger 4x4 that needs a new clutch.How much trouble would it be to replace the rear main oil seal in the motor?With the trans out of the way would I be able to do this without pulling the motor????

yes, very easy. with the flywheel removed you can easily pry it out with a smallish screwdriver.

make sure you rub grease on the lip of the seal before you put it in. this prevents it from burning up
