My idea of a Shelby Ranger if there would have been one.

ehh, watching half these shows nowadays. theres no replacement, for a couple gallons of bondo.

i just got done doing a 67 chevelle for the customer.

the car looked really good before i started it. it was marina blue, with a fresh vinyl top.

no joke, after i stripped the roof. i swept up all the bondo and put it in a bag. there was 10 pds of bondo just on the roof :icon_surprised:

i didnt bother to weight the rest of the car. i dont have a scale that big. :icon_surprised:

and the car had to be jet black. oh boy, lossa fun.:annoyed:

glad its done though.

and i only use the hvhp gun for primer. i love the hvlp for paint and clear coats.

saves me a ton of paint. and since half the time i dont use a resporator, it doesnt put off as much overspray.

My first car restoration in school was my 67 Chevelle... It was aqua blue and had a black top.. the top was so pitted with rust.. Tons of bondo all over that car... I found one repair behind the right front wheel where the bodyman shoved a coke can in a rust hole and bondo... that car had crappy work all over it.. I brazed patch metal over tons of places...

Trying to get the hedders to VHT's high temp hedder drying specs.. Yeah it didn't happen.. that stuff is rediculous with the instructions on the can...

Pics of the interior.. I am using a mat instead of carpet.. too much mud around my house for carpet.. may get some later though... the bucket of water is from cleaning the seats with a bissell green machine.. YUCK! I guess it's from working in a bodyshop and getting in dirty...

I love the seats but wish they were buckets but the 60\40 has it's uses :sexe:

what are your plans with the exhaust?

cough cough...lightning style...cough

CopyKat gave me some ideas on a muffler but that is as far as i have made it.
The exit will have to remain in the same place cause of the body kit. at least I assume it would...

Theres a 60/40 mod. that allows you to convert your seats to buckets. Theres a write-up in the tech library, I might be doing it next year to my 60/40 seats.

Anyone know what Ford vehicle these heads go to? Hint. It's gas, DOHC, 4Valve per Cyl and pumps out 500 hp!!

It was freezing here today again.. Couldn't get the temp in the shop warmed enough to my liking... it is suppose to be warmer tomorrow but that is what the weather man said last weekend... I am thinking I am done until next year.. I hope not but....

Those heads look like they go to a tank or a dump truck or something! And as far as being done 'til next year... I hear ya. It's pretty dang cold up here too. I'm hoping the adhesive cures properly to seal my rear window! =P

Good answer on the heads.. They are from an all ford built Sherman tank... I had no idea Ford built tanks.. That engine was over 1000 CI! All aluminum..

I have to deal with a leaky rear window too... I was hoping to get the Ranger done.. I got a rebuilt tranny for my honda I need to put in but didn't want to until the truck is done but need to caus the bearings are noisy... I hate the car but man it is great on fuel..

Well, I've got a small ceramic heater set on low going in the cab right now... so hopefully it'll cure! And I hear you on saving gas... that's why I bought my 4-banger Ranger. But man... do I ever miss having the option to do some wheeling! Haha.

My first 89 Ranger had a 2.3.. It had 150k miles on it when I pulled it and still ran strong... Just not as strong as a 4.0.. :icon_bounceblue: I still have the engine but it hasn't been started since about 2K... Here is my first Ranger bought brand new and had 4 thousand dollars in it including the price of the truck as it sits in this pic... Oh yeah I worked for a Chevrolet dealership when I bought it.. I thought the S10s were crap so I got the best... Exactly one year to the day later I bought my mom a Black 88 STX 4X4 fully loaded with a 2.9 with 15K miles owned by an older gentleman for 6,000.00.. We had matching Ford T shirts that had a street Ranger and a STX on them... The caption "Street wise Off Road Tuff"....
