Diesel Escort

I call shenanigans! What 40 year old man has more stars ( * ) in his name than letters. When do you see a 40 year old use teenage texting abbreviations such as wtf and roflmfao. I've towed 15,000+ lbs behind a ford 1 ton (yep, dually) doing 65-70mph. It was the speed limit, and I was being passed by semi trucks.

I don't think you should be banned though. Agreeing with partsguy that you are a tool is punishment enough...

Oh wait, there's MORE!!! I know what wtf stands for, but what does "roflmfao" mean???

I could not agree more!!:icon_cheers:

I mean after all here you have this guy attacking me by calling me names like ( tool ) and ( douche bag ) and he's talking about his penis implying I said something about his penis or his man hood wtf??

Lets look at the facts, shall we??

My very first post was in direct compliance with the rules in accordance to me giving my opinion about a diesel that HE asked for opinions about!!!!! NOW he might not of liked my opinion BUT I did contribute to the thread DIRECTLY,yet here you have this guy FLAMING in his own thread.

I never called anybody NAMES or refereed to his penis size:icon_rofl:

I mean everybody got pissy because THEY happen to like diesels and did not like my OPINION on why I think disels are worthless:icon_thumby:

Now I know you were probably referring to me when you mentioned the word ( BAN ) but you see I did nothing wrong except voice my opinion, take a unbiased look over the whole thread again and tell me WHY I should be banned, YOU CAN'T!!!!!

I can give you SEVERAL instances were HE should be banned for various things but I suspect logic and common sense will be over ridden by every bodies love for diesels.:icon_rofl:

Wow, 40? I thought you were 13-14 reading through your posts.

Nowhere did you give your opinion on the diesel in question. You rambled on about how people who drive duallys with diesels are trying to make up for something.

Quit being jealous that people can afford to drive dually diesel pick up trucks if they want. I'd have one too if I could afford it.

Yea I have kids!!! lol

This is a perfect example of a irresponsible driver, remind me NEVER to be any were near you in your ( I think my truck can do anything ) because it's a dually and is a big bad diesel while driving 70 fricking miles an hour in a wind storm. That is how people get hurt and if my family was involved in an accident with your truck pulling huge amounts of weight while fighting the wind all while going the speed limit JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN,there would be major problems.:icon_thumby:

If I am within the weight limits of my truck (hint that is why I bought a dually) have my load properly secured, the truck and trailer are maintained, and I am within the posted speed limit, then the fact that I am towing a heavy load has nothing to do with my level of responsibility as a driver. I do not think my "big bad" truck can do anything, but I bought a "big bad" dually diesel truck, because I have a job to do, and to do it safely and to stay with in my GVWR, GCWR, GAWR, and towing capacity, I need a one-ton with a dually rear axle.

As far as me referencing a truck being a phallic extension... everyone on this board knew that is what you were getting at when you made your first post.

As far as me calling you name, I apologize, I will edit my post to remove these comments.

Now, I really would like to know more about what you all think about these cars. If a mod would like to clean up this thread, that would be cool. :icon_thumby:

never in this world would i have thought a thread asking a question about a diesel car would have spanned into a u no what kind of contest. anf on to the oringal post go for it a nieghbor of mine had one and he drove it until the struts rusted thru the body and the engine was still going like a champ

I never imagined it either :dunno: but I'm done...

Thanks for the advice, I know that the rear strut mounts like to rust on them. I plan to take a good look at that. People also say that the RF2.0s like to crack heads. So I am curious to see what kind of shape it is in. The ad doesn't tell me much, just that it "runs good".

I'll let you all know what I find.

There are LAWS on the books for ( driving conditions ) meaning it is expected of and your duty bound to drive with in reason of the environment at hand!!! Would you drive 70 mph in heavy fog?????? just because you think you can because the speed limit says 70 mph.

Would you drive 70 mph on bald tires in a heavy rain storm, just because the speed limit says you can?

Are you following me??

So for you to be driving a heavy, fully loaded WHAT EVER in a huge truck all while in heavy wind in a 70 mph zone is the same as stated above, you could easily be ticked and sued for your stupidity, NOW don't hate me because I make sense and you didn't think about that angle.

You calling me names is ( ALL GOOD ) you see, I don't have thin skin,I can take it!!! :icon_thumby:

good grief you guys need your bottles takin away and put to bed for such behavior this has tuned into a no nonsence battle get over it and move on he just want to know info on a diesel escort not all this bickering

I've seen diesel cars bring home 45+mpg when driving spirited. So, I would imagine this car is worth a look.

Enough is enough. Back on topic, or don't bother posting.

I'd get it. My buddy Dan had one in highschool ....... we could ride all over town for a month on $10...... back in 1992
