what vehicles did the 351w coming in that is efi and mass air but obdI. i really want to swap in a 351w into my truck. but i want to have efi mass air and obdi since it should be pretty much plug and play in my 94. so i need to find a donor vehicle but idk what to get.

also does anyone know of anyone doing this swap into a 93-94 ranger? i don't want to use custom gauges if i dont have to but i really like some of the set ups i have seen. I would really like to do a 5 speed and not have to do an auto if i could get away with it also. pretty much any advice would be great. what tranny what tcase. all that anything anyone can think to help me out.

Thanks

Most all of your questions can be answered in the tech library.

yeah i have read that but not all my questions are answered.

maybe f-250 and f-350 351w were all of the above....not sure though

93-96 F/S Bronco
93 - 96 F-150/250/350

You can get the lower intake manifold of a first gen Lightning, then run a GT40 intake (or Cobra) with all the basic Mustang 5.0 stuff.

They are not uncommon, check various classifieds to find one.

My 96 f250 351w is not obdII, but its not a MAF engine either.

Most 250 vans have 351W in them.Last time we hit the pull a part in nashville I counted at least 6 with complete engines.$180 gets your pick.

so i could find a 351 and swap in all the mustang wiring and all that the intake all that stuff. is it truck that 302 parts will bolt right to a 351?

damn thats cheap but your to far away to make it work for me

The intake manifold is diffeent, as the 351 is a taller deck, therefore wider. But the EFI manifolds are almost all two piece, so you would need to locate a 351 lower. (available for most aftermarket intakes, as well as the style I mentioned, GT40/Cobra).

Headers will be different also, or need some mods, for the same reason.

ok so it would a better bet to just buy this

ok so heres my idea. get a 351 block and heads use that intake then get the rest of my fuel injection stuff from a fox body mustang with a 302. i will have maf then and all the fuel injection stuff. will that work?

not all were MAF..... only roller cam 351s in the trucks were maf and not all roller ready blocks were roller cam even though all after 1993 had a steel cam and steel gear on the dizzy (source: fullsizebronco.com)

If you're curious about how each intake performs, I would recommend spending some time on the Mustang sites, www.sbftech.com, and others. You'll learn a lot, and get a TON of opinion.
