4x4 Stuck please help

ok my truck is stuck in 4x4 low when i flip the switch on the dash there is no click or anything how would i get it out manually so i can drive it

please help

After some heavy mud my '05 got stuck in 4low the way i got it out was to shut the truck off in neutral, after that i started it again and flipped the switch and it popped out, be careful though, my 4low no longer works

4 Low on my 92 auto with the on dash switches does not go in or come out of 4low unless the truck is Stationary and in neutral.

Our humvees regularly got stuck in 4 lo, We had to mash the gas then brake suddenly to release drivetrain pressure on teh transfer case. It usually unstuck it.

Make sure if it's an auto you have the truck in neutral, stopped, with foot on brake.

my truck is a stick shift. when my truck wont come out of 4low i turn the switch to 4high and shut it off. when i start it up with the clutch pushed in it switches to 4 high instantly. if that doesnt work try puttin it in neutral with your foot on the brake. release the brake slowly and let it drift slightly til you hear the first click and press the break and it will switch to 4high. i dont know if you are switchin directly to 2wd, but i have found it will almost never go straight to 2 wheel. it has to go to 4high first then switch to 2wd.

With a manual trans also remember to be at a complete stop and ALSO push in the clutch pedal. Thats the only way I can get mine out of 4lo.

Easy way: drive it in reverse to unload the pressure on the gears.

If that doesn't work, remove the shift motor and turn the shaft with some pliers. you'll see the indicator marks once the shift motor is removed. It's not hard.
