Electronic shift hasn't worked for about 4 months now. Getting pretty tired of having to crawl under the truck to manually engage the transfer case, although its better then no 4x4. Can someone please help me diagnose this problem. I've searched this website and other sites, but can't find a troubleshooting procedure for a '97 ranger. All the info i can find is either for older rangers or newer. Any post that i've found that refers to the same problem seems to always go nowhere. I'm getting fustrated because i'm just going around and around in circles. I can't even find a wiring diagram that shows the 4x4 system. My haynes manual says you can pull codes from it, but doesn't show how to and i haven't seen any diagnostic codes that refer to the 4x4 system.
