Decided today at work it was about time to put the snowplow on the 2500HD. I got in and headed over to where it had been sitting since last winter... It was gone...

Someone stole a 3 year old Meyer ST-7.5 plow. It weights over 650#!

So now we are out a plow!!

WTF!

That Sux!

Where was the plow located? Was it in a easy-to-steal location?

650#, pshh, I can lift that with one arm!

Well, it was sitting out, but you would need a small army to move it. Or a truck with the right mount.

Best of all, it's discontinued, so we have to replace the "quick mount" that makes up about 1/2 of the front end of the truck, just to replace it.

We have an old St-7.5 on my uncles old ford dually and those are flipping AWKWARD!!!
I dont even see how someone could steal one. They had to have something big to take it.

At work, we have 17 racks of Mac Buns stolen, 4 Boxes of Bacon, and some other stuff that I can't remember.

You gotta love working at McDonalds. =]]

Not.

I can't wait untill I'm out of high school, and can leave that place and go to college.

people call me paranoid for locking all my shit up...this is why.

my boat trailer is chained to my enclosed trailer, and they are facing opposide directions. the outboard is in turn chained to the boat trailer whenever its parked. the topper is chained to the other side of the utility trailer. the utility trailer is also secured with a padlock, as are the tounges on both trailers. the truck then parks at one end of the trailers, blocking access. the truck doors are locked with the alarm armed.

i lock all my shit too. people will steal anything, sometimes for no reason. i never leave my truck unlocked, even if im only going inside for a second.

Hmmm, My truck doesnt lock. The pass side door linkage is gummed up and the drivers side wont lock or unlock with the key.

Check craigslist and other want adds first to see if your plow turns up by some stroke of luck........

check your local scrap yard that buys.............probably where it ended up.

These are both very good ideas. Theifs are pretty damn stupid, not only to have stole in the first place, but usually how they try and dump the stolen property.

I'd also just look around locally.

I just can't see them risking stealing it while we were open (which they did) or how they got it out without attaching it to a truck... And if they had a mount for it, I see them using it.

But I may call around tomorrow... Cause I'm the poor SOB who will be riding on the 24hp Kubota with the 6' woods blade behind it if I don't find my damn plow! Well not mine, but I am the one who uses it.
