3 weeks old... 6" BDS Suspension Lift

Beauty of a truck. Getting a set of 12.5 wide tires might fill it out a little bit but otherwise the truck looks really good. Lookin forward to some mud shot.

So you suggest I take the shock boots off, eh?? Might do. But is that a real problem getting dirt and crap stuck in there? Never experienced that before.
It is a problem everywhere, but if you live in a snowy area salt will rust your shock shaft. I ran shock boots on my Ranger when I first lifted it, but quickly removed them when I went to replace my shocks. The top part of the shock where the shaft goes into was rusted holes.

Well, I live in North Vancouver, BC. Not a whole lot of snow... cept for in the mountains. Allthough last year the snow didn't seem to want to go away. Hmmm... good advice though. Will prolly take them off now though :icon_thumby:

mjones is definately going to beat me to it, but yes, remove the shock boots.

N/M, I beat him! Woot Woot, Anywho, when you get dirt underneath the boot it will just stay in there and collect moisture and will contantly score the rod. So rust and damage the shock by keeping the boot on. When you have no boot and you wash your truck, all of that dirt will wash away.
you didn't beat me too it, look at post #7:taunt:

That truck is clean!

Nice:icon_thumby:

Not necessary to take the boots off. Most boots have a little drain area at the bottom and if they are secure nothing should be a problem. I had them on for about a year then took them off. No damage just wanted them off cuz they didnt look good anymore.

For the most part people dont like them (I probably wont buy them again), but if ya got them I dont think you will die if you dont take them off.

Nice truck btw

nice to see another vancouver ranger on the forums here. Your truck looks tight! I'm running the same lift with a 3 inch body lift in mine.

Nice truck. I like the look of skinny tires probably because there are so many with the wider tires. I do think skinny tires add to the sleek lines.
Good luck!

Can you fit anything wider than a 10.50 tire on a stock 10"x7" rim ??

Looks GOOOOOOOD!

Not sure but have you put in those F150 coil Spacers? If you want to try to level the front end abit, but man it looks great!

Naaa...not going to bother with leveling the front. I want to be sure I don't have any sagging when I throw my canopy and tool box on. I'm getting a new 33" BFG Mud on the same stock rim to use as a spare. Will mount it in the box somehow.

That's a sharp looking truck! Good to see more people from BC, I am up in Whistler.
