Oh and in the same patch I found the dogwood tree thing that I've been leaving because I didn't think much of it but holy cow, I didn't know how invasive that stuff was! Every time a branch hits the ground it sets roots and sprouts like 5 more!

Went to my parents for easter lunch, took the F150. Longest drive Ive had it out for since bringing it home, When it dries up enough around here Im ready to get the trailer out & see how it tows.

Raked some dead spots in the back yard and spread grass seed, then fertilized the whole yard with weed & feed.
When we had the big snowstorm in February I ran the snowblower in a corner of the yard for the dog to do his business and now the grass is mostly dead in the two spots where I cleared the snow.
The grass didn't like losing that snow cover I guess.

cut 5/8-11 threads in some 3" tubes. these will be used for leveling feet on lathe stands.
used the drill press to hold the tap in alignment. kind of hard to keep straight threads thru a 3" tube.

Here's the pile of stuff I drug home over the weekend, majority of it is just scrap/project metal and the romex... the tools you can see in the clear tote are mostly SK and such, clamps are nice too...

Drove the F150 to work & back. First time Ive had it out in the dark. not bad but miss having a light bar. got home & mowed the yard, still quite wet in spots. needs rolled from all the damn deer traffic. Dinner at a local tavern. glad its the weekend. been a long week.

Moved more of the disassembled camper parts into the harbor freight trailer and did some more cleanup there then mowed the grass that was there, maybe tomorrow I'll hook a ripper up to the tractor to get any roots left from pulling stumps from the area 6 years ago, we'll see how the weekend goes, I might start tilling it up and make a mess...

Cut down a few trees in my back yard. Bought this place last year and realized after I bought it that there were 7 lilac bushes back there (lot is roughly a half acre) now there are 4. One I'll let grow again and two I'll dig up. One more I get to talk to the neighbor about because it straddles the property line and is roughly 10x20 and is in very poor shape. I'd like to let it grow back again too, but we will see how that goes.
Paused all of that until tomorrow and went and dragged my lathe home from one of my friend's houses. He's had it for about 15 years and has been using it. He's upgrading and I've got a place to set it up, so home it came. It's a 1947 Logan 210. I've got all the change gears, 3 jaw, 4 jaw, face plates, collets, and a bunch of tooling. It'll be nice to have at home finally.

I went on a road trip to pick up a shed for $20. plastic interlocking panels. the base is plastic also, 2 layers of square plastic peices. Gotta clear a spot to reassemble all these parts. Might be the “gator garage” when all is said & done. Loving the 300 .

Pretty successful day, started off by making a point for the single point ripper I've had for years, it had the blade but whoever made it just used two pieces of 3/8" bar for a tooth, last time I used it those lasted about 20' until they hit a tree root so today I rooted around until I found some 1/2" plate (so much 3/8" and 5/8", very little 1/2" surprisingly...), got half way through the cut and the consumables on the plasma cutter said NO! so changed those and back to business, cleaned everything up then tacked together then heated with propane and it welded great. Of course once I was done the tree roots I'd worried about were rotten and not an issue... Then I switched to the tiller behind the tractor and tilled up a chunk of the yard, then switched to the box blade to drag dirt around, then grabbed the chain harrow. Successfully made a mess! It's better than it was but started raining and the dirt got sticky and was packing and not doing what I wanted. After I was done I wandered around trying to find rocks and whatnot, came up with a ~1' long cats paw prybar that didn't appreciate the tiller much , found a bunch of small rocks, a AA battery, couple feet of wire, couple feet of vacuum hose and that's about it... need to till again so I can flatten it more since I've dug down.

After that didn't do much, aired up the flat tire on the '00 Explorer, tomorrow I'll investigate on why it was flat, definitely explains the pull to the passenger side last weekend though...

Bought and installed a 13" tire tube into one of my leaky pinto tires. $17... Worth it so I can drive it off the lift and not worry about a flat when it's parked 200 yards away from air.

Mowed yard. Fixed the damn rattle that Brittney's car has had since someone tried to break into while we were at a concert. (The hatch lock cylinder clip was loose.) Got my mom's old car moving again. Replaced an o-ring and refilled with fluid and the CVT moves under it's own power again. Tho it acts up with nearly any throttle. (2017 Sentra) Got a mirror ordered for Brittney's car. She broke the passenger side power mechanism trying to move it while it was covered with ice. I tried to fix that but the little plastic gear is resistant to repairs. It's cheaper to buy the whole thing. Now I have to go fix my aunt's mower. Pretty sure she broke the end off the deck engagement cable from here description. IF so that'll be a 2 day ordeal. Have to tear the whole mower down to get to it. After the parts come in. At least I have a long weekend coming up.

Busy day today.
Scrubbed and Armor All'd the winter tires from my wife's Pacifica and put them away.
Got around to bolting my late father's bench grinder to my workbench so I could.....
Sharpen the blade of my lawnmower before I....
Cut the grass, dumped it in the Ranger and took it to the town's grass dump.
Put a new DPFE sensor in the Ranger, this is an issue in late-models, so it shifts normally again. This is the second time I've replaced it. $27 at Rock Auto, not a terribly big deal to change.

Went and looked at the ranger for awhile.. just to refamiliarize myself with where I was and what needs to happen next.. been 6-7 months since I've seen it for longer than just a passing glance.. a guy forgets a lot of fine details over that amount of time lol.

Naturally.. the list of to-dos and to-gets is sizeably bigger than I thought/remembered it was going to be .. gonna definitely take a couple more weeks than I was anticipating before it's all cleaned, corrosealed, painted, and buttoned back up from the rear of the cab to the rear bumper.

Gotta get 22 1/2" grade-8 bolts, nuts, and washers, a can of kwik-strip, a bottle of purple power, a petrol-powered pressure washer, a can of black tractor paint, some paint brushes, a dimple die, a tube of sil-glyde, and then I reeeeally gotta figure out how to get my drill press to spin 50% slower (it's already set as slow as it'll go)

That's like.. most of a paychecks worth of crap The pressure washer will be the biggest expense.. not really a big deal there as it'll save me money in the long-run.. but I already know that I am NOT ready to see how much the bill is gonna be for that many nuts/bolts/washers lol. At least the bolts don't have to be very long.. so perhaps that purchase won't be as painful as I'm imagining it will be.. here's to hoping lol.. definitely got my work cut out for me though.


Also dropped the bronco off for a mostly complete servicing to happen tomorrow A.M.. engine oil & filter, cabin filter, change both the diffs, change the t-case, spill & fill the trans, and a tire rotation. At 45.5k miles right now. Rough estimate was 800$.. well see lol.
