1994 Taurus SHO Yamaha 3.2 (automatic version of the 3.0) and Ranger 3.0 M5OD transmission. I pulled the engine from a very rotten Taurus at 110k miles, it ran fine when pulled. Transmission was pulled from a 92 at the junkyard and had around 150k with no known issues.
Was going to build a truck around this combo but plans changed. I hate to see it go but I'd rather it see some use than sit in a shed. I have all of the accessory brackets, pcm, and engine wiring harness. Local pickup only in the Plattsburgh NY area, have a tractor to load the engine. Would like to sell as a package but may be willing to separate.
I know it isn't a ranger engine but its a much talked about swap so figured it kind of fits here.
Looking for $600 or reasonable offer. Willing to do partial trade on some first gen ranger/b2 parts as well, send me a pm and we can talk about it.

how well does it run? did you have it on a run stand hooked to a radiator?

tempting, very tempting.

unfortunately ( fortunately ? ) my sanity check will keep me away.

It ran reasonably well before being removed from the car and has been stored inside on a stand since removal. I bought the whole car and removed it myself a few years ago. Car was complete but just about broken in half at that time.

good price. where is the guy that is building one ...PM that guy

That would be my ideal choice for the Ranger. It probably weighs less than an eight and goes just as fast. I wish I had the skills to put one in.

You might, don't know until you try

I'm quite impressed with what I have done already, even more impressed with the good advice I've received here on this site, but an enine transplant, especially one that is non stock would be way over my head.

I would love to attempt this swap!

I know... but I'd have to drive to pick it up...

Are any trades possible?

I said the same thing until I just decided to do it.
