TRS Event TRS 2023 Fall Adventure - Land Between The Lakes

So… Biscuits and Gravy plus Pizza… how many non-communal meals do I need to plan for now?

I’m about to go as hard as I can after getting the green Ranger fixed in time for this. If things go well I’ll try to get the Choptop fixed so I have 4x4. Even if I can’t get the 4x4 fixed, I intend to bring it. But I really need the Ranger up, that will be a long drive in the Choptop or the F-150 or I’d have to rent a truck… I’d rather not rent.

So.... anyone on here do any kayaking?

Will probably buy one before I go, and thought about bringing it down..

I have a kayak. I’ll have to look into the regulations on launch permits. My guess is that we might be required to get one, depending on what is there. Around me, you need one for state parks and the county requires their own for their parks.

Yeah, here in Indiana it's 5 bucks for state parks, but rivers are no permit needed

We kayak a lot here in Tennessee. Here there is no permit need for a non motorized boat. Only need numbers and registration on motorized watercraft. I'll check with some of my buddies and see if KY requires anything today. I wouldn't mind dragging mine along.

I thought about bringing my guide canoe... wasn't sure I would get a chance to use it. I'm also going to check on out of state fishing license... and bringing a fishing pole or two.

I am working on this....even if I have to bring a car...

And if I bring a borrowed car....at least you won't need a current tetanus shot, but make sure your life insurance is paid up if you want to ride in it.

Check with the campground. I believe they have a launch (see campground map)?
