Rivian R1S

Thats why i said used.

Im guessing (hoping) it was a platnium? Or atleast a high zoot lariat?

Im way to abusive to my pickups to spend that kinda money on one lol

My neighbors was everything and the kitchen sink. Still a gasser engine though.

That’s the point though. New for new, the price is about the same. There are a lot of points you could argue, but purchase price to buy one new is not one.

Kinda depends though...how is a 120,000 dollar rivian equipped compared to a 120,000 dollar superduty?

I'm sure he paid way above MSRP.

For starters, he's an idiot. This was also a couple years ago when people were paying more for used cars then new ones.

Ron's friend with the Rivian is also pay 40K over MSRP as well.

Remember, that’s Canadian beaver pelts, not US Bald Eagles.

No i wasnt saying he was wrong or whatever...just more astounded at what a top of the line one costs.

I pulled a carfax once on my 97 which was pry pretty close to tops back then it MSRP'ed at like 21k

My ‘95 dodge 2500 was top of the line with every option except heated mirrors when it was new. $30k.

only thing it could have had extra was the diesel, it has the v10 instead.

Getting a good deal and overpaying is a personality trait

One man can pay $50k for a vehicle and be happy with the price
Another man can get EXACTLY the same vehicle for $40k and think he overpaid

The man that paid $50k could never understand why the man that paid $40k would think he overpaid
And the man that paid $40k can never understand how the man that paid $50k doesn't think he got ripped off

It's just the way people are, their personal traits, not good or bad, just different view on life and "stuff"

I would be the man that paid the $50k :) and I have friends that think I overpay for everything, lol, "I could have got that for you for $XXk, you really got ripped off"
I get where they are coming from, that's just the way they view things

I wanted something, accepted the price, bought it, and am happy I bought it
When they buy something, "Hey I got a good deal but probably should have got a few more dollars off", they are happy with their purchase, same as me
But I don't think they will ever understand my view, lol

A regular cab long bed f250HD base model was about $21K back in ‘96 when I worked at the Ford dealer.
Every time I see you post a number I think “78% of statistics are made up”.

This is true.
Reminds me of when I first got my new house and the lawn was dirt. I rememberd my BIL got a few pallettes of sod after he had septic tank issues. I asked him how much a pallette of sod was and his response was "Expensive". Thats all I could get out of him. He probably makes twice my annual salary, so I figured it MUST be expensive, if he says it is. I finally nutted up and ordered a single pallette for around $120 delivered. I jumped on that price and thought my BIL must have gotten hosed. When we talked again he said he paid about the same as I did. I could't figure how a man who makes twice as much as me would think $120-$150 for sod was "expenssive". Now, had he just told me the price, I would have decided for myself if it was actually expensive or not.

I'm the guy that would have just bought a bag of grass seed after they told me what a pallet of sod cost.

Read the first post.

This guy towed a 7000lb camper 500 miles. He stopped to charge 6 OR 7 TIMES!

Thats less then 100 miles per stop.

By comparison towing my 7000lb camper with my 25 yr old 460 i could eaisly go 200+ before stopping. At 60-65mph...AC on, O/D off and loaded with camping crap (8-8.5mpg 38 gallon fuel capacity)

*most charging stations are not designed for a truck with a trailer so you have to unhook said trailer to charge the tow rig.

Interesting
