More Bronco hear say.

Man... they sure have had a rough go with this launch. Some is self inflicted... some was just out of their control. Add them together... well it looks pretty ugly.

Probably the main reason I was never gonna buy a year one sixth gen Bronco to begin with.

I still think they hit the ball out of the park... I want one... still hoping they surprise me with a sweet 2 door pickup.

With a new Maverick reserved... I'm starting to second guess that decision. I sure hope that launch goes better.

Ford has been using plastic tubing for coolant lines for at least 20 years... :dunno:

Hard plastic, like an intake manifold?

I've not seen that in any of the newer ford i've worked on, it seems strange.

Heck, we might end up with a year three...

I got sick of chasing vacuum leaks/replacing intake gaskets on my F-150 every other winter and swapped the plastic intake for aluminum last year...

The official email landed today:

Supposed to be getting two boxes of swag...

at least the had time to get a bunch of Tchotchkes ready while you wait.

Two packages, one is reported to weigh 22lbs and ships FedEx. Nobody has gotten one though... seems fitting. :dntknw:

We were in Des Moines for the state fair... so of course when we got done with supper and all that she wanted to swing by the famous Granger ford dealership and see if the 4dr on their site was on there lot. Sure enough there it was.

2.3. 7spd, 4dr Big Bend with a soft top on 35's.

Everybody blathers on about how huge the 4dr is. In the back of my mind I keep ruminating that the wheelbase is about the same as my first gen Ranger so it can't be THAT huge... and I was rather surpised how small it is. Don't get me wrong it is tall but it isn't that long. Nearly the same as our old Edge to be exact.

I tried to get it lined up on the Bronco letters since they seemed to be pretty straight across,

I was also kind of surprised how small the dealership is compared to all the chatter I hear about it online.

So anyway, I kind of taken aback by the size of the thing. Front room is great on the 2dr so I assume the 4dr will be similar. Where the heck did they get the room? Edge has the engine/trans riding side saddle and stuff inside the firewall/dash... but the Bronco has a fairly deep dash too.

It bugs me now comparing "well did they do this?" "suppose if they moved this to there they would gain room?"

And yes the Edge has pointier ends to kinda cheat extra length too.

Now available in Eruption Green.

What a weird name for a green...

Wifie is actually considering it. I am keeping my $. 02 to myself aside from mentioning a dark green truck with black everything else is going to be kinda dark and than CG will show crushed limestone gravel dust much less.

Believe it or not I like the color although I would prefer it to be non metallic.
