Performance Packages for the Ford Ranger

I thought the engine upgrade mentioned today was fairly major.
I may be late to the party with this but:

They announced the tune while ago:

I should have taken a Ford engineer with me last year across the Trans America Trail so they could better understand where the truck needs improvement.

Needz moar stikerz! And pretty tow hooks!

For a guy that doesn't repeat himself...

I'm seeing way more appearance than performance in these packages.

You're not impressed by the different tow hook colors, windshield banner, and license plate frame?

WTF FORD!!

The Next Gen Ranger will get some off cred from this fella... it's gonna happen.

I noticed that too. Stickers, paint, and software are way cheaper to R&D than hardware.

Not so sure I even like you anymore...

I added this news to the site to forever be preserved.

Now to do a write up about how I feel about it.....

Per Jim's mention of the BF Goodrich T/A KO2 tires, I needed to purchase new tires for my 2003 F-250 Super Duty (6.8 V10/ZF6/4x4), and after meticulously researching numerous all-terrain tires, I believe, based upon reviews on-line and personal experience, the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W tires offer the best combination of off-road capability and on-road drivability.

My experience with BF Goodrich T/A KO2 tires is they are rock throwing sons-a-bitches.

If your truck is mostly a pavement crawler, but you have a gravel driveway, or work somewhere that has a gravel or road base parking lot, avoid T/A KO2's.

The place I used to work had road base in the parking lot. I'd pull out to head home and it sounded like bird shot slamming into the wheel wells and rocker panels.

Fixed it for you.
Unless you are trailing your rig... math, logic and reality are obviously not your strong points.

Ford figured out that the dumbasses with money will pay for anything.
