I wouldn’t call myself a chef. But I do enjoy cooking and trying different recipes out.

So let’s get this going. Post a picture of something new you tried to cook. And how it came out. I’ll get this started.

Made general tso chicken from scratch. I followed a recipe from one of my favorite YouTube channel “binging with babish” and it came out delicious. Super easy to make too. Add some steamed broccoli. And some white rice. And I’m eating good tonite.

Grill almost every nite...
tonight flat iron steak, oven brown tater slices, corn on cob.

Since we're at home every day/nite now, just pays to eat good.
Wife tries different recipes, and has even started to experiment making bread.

Good meat is cheap too.

Those two chops last night were $4.70 FOR BOTH OF THEM!

Would have been $15 a plate at a restaurant...

Baked ziti... It’s in my stomach, so no pic.

I'm doing patty melts on everything bread... dill pickle spears and a few chips.

Last night I made southwestern chicken salad with my guacamole ranch dressing... everyone in the house says it's their favorite salad.

I love to cook too and had thought about doing this very thread. But when I watch the news and see people in food lines.... I had second thoughts.

@RangerFabWorks … did you make the egg rolls to? That entire plate looks better then I get at may local take out place.

We were out of pickle spears... dill chips will do!

Bacon wrapped chicken

Boneless breasts or thighs, pound them, lightly, lol
Stuff with cheddar cheese, roll up, any cheese works
Wrap with bacon

Just going to eat them now, no pics

A few nights ago, I tried making my own flour tortillas for my bean burritos. They turned out ok and by the last one, they were even an almost circular shape.

The next night, I made fried chicken strips from scratch. Then hush puppies with the extra breading.

Tortilla (amoeba?)

I did not do the egg rolls. They are frozen. That’s for my wife. She doesn’t think it’s Chinese food without egg rolls. I’m sure I’ll learn how to make them at some point.

tomorrow night will be beef Wellington.
