How is a turbo 2.3 better than a SC 5.4?

Smaller foot print can be a big reason.

My brother rags on my OHC 5.0 vs his DOHC 5.0. "Your motor is great but it won't fit in my truck" is a good debate ender.

I don't know much about the Mazda rotorys other than I got a ride in an ultralight airplane that had one, sure had a different sound.

Then I should a 2JZ AWD upgrade;however, that is not the true heart of a RX-8.

I don't think a 2jz would fit in there, it's huge compared to the original wanker engine which is smaller that a beer keg. There's a guy on here somewhere that says he can rebuild one of them beer kegs in a couple of hours, there's only three moving parts, how complicated can it be? Also, they have an interesting sound when spinning at nine grand and under twenty pounds of boost.
