Sounds good, I just wanted to warn you. If you want more exact directions let me know.

if you are in loomis go over to that high school with all the rocks in front of it! hahaha that place looks like it would be so much fun to mob around.

The loomis chicks also look like they'd be fun to mob around...

ok wake up nor cal i need help. i have to run a toyota steering box do to no room on the inside of my frame rail for any other steering box which will make my track bar almost 10 inches shorter than my drag link. how much of a problem am i going to have? can i change the angle of the track bar to compensate? keep in mind this is a trail rig with barley any street use if any.

What are you running for your tracbar mount on the frame side? I would think that if you used an outside-frame mount from ruff stuff, the lengths would come out very close. With my stock steering box location my tracbar and draglink are almost exactly the same length. I don't think there would be a 10 inch difference that way...

looks to me this is about what Kevery did on his.

im running a ballistic fab mount on the outside of the frame but the toyota steering box also mounts on the outside of the frame. the track bar is limited on the axle side by the coil bucket so it cant be as long as the drag link. i hope this all makes sense i will get pics tomorrow

Makes sense to me. If I am not mistaken, Kevery ran pretty close to what you're talking. With one exception, that again, unless I am mistaken, he had heims. And from the pictures it looks like it put the draglink further to the passenger side than the GM TRES will put you, exasperating the "problem" if there would be one, that you are worried about. It worked for him... hopefully he will jump in here and correct me if Im wrong.
My tracbar and draglink are off in length by a couple inches, and It hasn't been an issue so far for me. I think truthfully, it is just as important if not more important for them to be parallel. If you get that nailed, I don't think you'd have an issue, especially not offroad.

biggest thing to worry about is make sure they are parallel. the length is the lesser of the two worries. male it as long as possible and it will work, especially for a crawler. the differences make for more bump steer which isnt as much of an issue at low speed.

As long as the are parallel and on the same plane (in line with each other) I woundlt worry about it too much

Gonna be a moonrocks trip sometime in October. Fyi...

Sweet. Maybe I can come. I've got a potential rubicon trip planned for the first weekend in October.

Hopefully my sliders and bumpstops get here before then:icon_welder:

Where has the norcal crew been!?

been working on my xr650l. just finished it this weekend. its fast and loud :) unfortunately I think I am going to sell it, I wanna get something smaller. its too tall and to make it work for me I have to put too much droop in the rear suspension. plus on the trails I cant throw it around if I cant touch the ground... so if anyone knows someone looking for a nice xr650 (bored to 680) plus a bunch of new goodies on it, holla.
