Been thinking about this and was thinking that we need somethng like this. My truck isnt one that will get ORTOTM or STOTM anytime soon but has alot of other "qualities":icon_rofl: that make it worthy of another type of catigory, along with alot of other people on here that have built RBVs and Non RBVs too that may qualify for this kind of thing. I was just wondering of anybody else agrees with this and other people thoughts on this.:icon_thumby:

Sounds like an awesome idea to me! Only issue I would see is, people would see there's a "redneck truck of the month" so they would think, "well why isn't there a gangster truck of the month?" and It would just grow from there to some ridiculous requests

honestly I'd rather see a DD truck of the month.. There are a lot of nice capable DD/WW trucks on here that ain't off-road built enough to win ORTOTM

maybe something along the lines of best use of junk yard parts truck of the month or low buck truck of the month or Budget Truck of the month something for those of us were young and poor but still put a lot of effort in

Okay it can be defined as how Jeff Foxworthy defines a redneck is....

"The glorious absence of sophistication"
-Jeff Foxworthy

Your RBV can be like that, kinda like owner like truck.

I don't know if I would feel honored with redneck truck of the month.......I don't know man..

However, Daily Driver of the month is pretty cool. I'd be eligible :D

My truck is also my DD too, that is until I can aFORD another vehicle.

But a DD can be part of the STOTM section too, the rules say that it can be.

yeah I guess... Idk if I wanna consider my truck a "street truck" tho.. I mean right now it's still basically a mall crawler, But I'll be in SMORR next month to unveil it, see what it'll do :D

Definitely true. I didnt think of that...I think redneck truck OTM makes more sense than DD OTM.

I would hope that if I was ever nominated I wouldn't be a street truck but the truth is, I only wheel every now and then. Even then, it's not a huge expedition. It's usually something mild since I really cant risk anything until I can afFORD another car too. Once that happens...Hopefully..I can have some more fun.

Well, I was wondering about "Ugly Truck OTM" because I think I'd win it easily...

You know your truck is ugly when babies who can't even talk widen their eyes, open their mouths, and point at your truck like it was the boogie man...

Don't crap your diaper and blame it on me kid...

I like this red neck truck idea. It's probably the only way I'd get a truck nominated. My b-II was my dd for last winter, it has access panels from a heater for floor pans, aluminum sheet screwed into place over the rear wheels to cover the gap left when I cut out the rust, air shocks to overcome the saggy springs. It does have a 4.0 but that was installed by the previous owner. I did put in front and rear diffs with 4.10 gears. I installed the rear with a plate to overcome the one inch difference in spring perch widths of the ranger rear.
Here's some pics;

So pic me as red neck truck of the month, I'd be honored to be the first.:icon_rofl:

Just because you bubble gum a hunk of John Deere painted sheetmetal to your floor you think you need an award for it. :D

We used to have an "ugly truck of the month" One guy won it and got mad because apparently he didn't think his BII was as ugly as the rest of the site thought it was. :icon_twisted:

With the replies that you've already gotten in this thread.....maybe you can let it mutate into a..............

I'd like to nominate MY truck as (you fill in the blank) Of The Month

Please include necessary photos/statistics/info......like dangerranger83 did in his post......... to prove you deserve the Nomination!!!!!

Example: I'd like to nominate my truck as RNBETOTM (Red Neck Bug Eyed Truck Of The Month)
