my truck

Truck looks awesome with the Cragars. It'll look even better with that 2" lift on it. Just like RSH said before, washer lift FTW.

Welding the washers is a very good idea. Because when you add the washers you will need a longer bolt. The old bolt will have to be removed and that washer and nut holding the radius arm and i-beam together will need to be installed on top of the stack of washers. That nut and washer cannot be re-installed against the i-beam and radius arm anymore because the threads of the longer bolt will not go that far. So what you want to do is to make a small "spacer" to center the welded stack of washers on the bolt. I made that small "spacer" out of washers JB welded together that fit the I.D. of the washer I was using to lift the truck. Then install the nut and washer on top of that to clamp it down. Then re-install the spring in the normal fashion with the lower spring retainer. It's essentially making your i-beam thicker.

man i know but i just cant afford to mess anything up, school starts in a couple weeks and only a few pay checks left to come.

i really want to level it though my brothers new truck looks so sweet that high off the ground i know my truck would look that way with teh washer lift.

also my mom wouldnt quit bitching about my tail lights being to dark so i spent THREEE hours today sanding them back down, im going for a smoked look this time rather than blacked. still debating on wether or not i should smoke the corners

and iv got a guy who will tint my windows for a case of beer if i buy the tint soo maybe ill get them tinted soon, who knows.

id tint the windows it always looks better and is cooler temp wise. and as for the washer lift you dont need to replace the bolt going into the beam under the spring usually you and get an inch or so of washers under the stock one and be fine. as long as you still have the FULL thread of the nut being used

so my brother is buying me this amp for christmas http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_21954_Kicker-ZX400.1-10ZX400.1.html

now all i got to do is pick out a sub i want, which is the hard part ill be posting this in the audio forum to get ideas as well

Nice truck. That sub spot is so cool! I've never seen that before looks awesome. When you do that you have to make the box right? When do you think on doing this?

im going to have to make the box yes, i plan on making it exactly like the one in the picture i think, ill have to play with the design, its forsure going in the jump seat hole, ill have to take the seat out, and then build the box, and it will probably be built by the first of the year, assuming i have the funds, right now, im looking at having to buy, the sub, and the box materials i have the rest.

When and if I ever get a sub I'm so doing that. The only things I would change is to have the sub angled up a little more, put the plugs on the top and screw the amp into the box on the side. Oh and put cover over the sub cuz sometimes I have people sit in the back. How would it mount inside of the seat? Or does it just sit there?

i think he did...

if you're going to build a box, make sure that you build it the right size, if it's too big or too small it will sound like poo poo...

i HIGHLY recommend the MTX thunder round series, that's what i've got in my truck and i loves it!

yes i changed my user name, its my gamer tag on XBL and what i use on other forums, figured i would stay consistant, and you just got to pm a mod and they'll take care of it. i havent been on here much because of college dont got time or money ha.

yes i plan on building my box to spec, im looking at a kicker l5 450w rms that needs between .66 and 1cu.ft so that should be manageable in the box i want to build. and im going to have to play with the placement of the plugs and such as well. im not sure how it will sit in the cubby im going to find a way to mount it i think, and the best part is the little pull over thingy wil cover it when im in downtown memphis.
