there is no stoping point where 1st is. the lever just flops around a foot on either side. and have to go back and forth until you find the shift pattern. please let me know what you think... thanks

Your shifter ball bushings have crapped out on you.
Either order on the net or buy them from your local Ford dealer. They are a stocked item. |
