Default 88 Transmission Crossmember

Hi,

Nice site, sorry I didn't post in the introduction area, but it was a google search for the above title that brought me here. I know there are two other threads with the exact title, but neither helped my situation really. People have posted links to sites where you can buy aftermarket crossmembers, problem is none ship to Canada :( I read something about Explorer crossmembers fitting but not using the bushings which are rotted out, and were rotted out on the member I was going to buy from the wrecker, I cannot find a retailer in Canada that sells the one for the inside of the frame without the bushings. Does anyone know which years of the Ranger or Explorer have the ones without the bushings that will fit in an 88. This is urgent as I cannot put my ranger legally on the road till I find one that fits and I have only ten days before my temp plate expires. Please help!

Thanks

Chris

Not sure about other years but my 84 b2 had one without the bushings and my 91 explorer also. Cross-member is not difficult to make if you have the tools available. Lots of guys take them off and make their own when they do extended radius arms. Someone near you may have one laying around.

Very easy for a welding shop to make for you.
