My alignment experience

Well like i guessed they couldnt align it. Why because just by looking at it the alignment guy said it was out more than 3 degrees. Didnt move the truck or anything just by looking at it he said he could tell. So I said go get the bushings from Napa they have them. He said no they dont make one more than 1.5 degrees and I said no Napa has them I called. He then said well I think you need to relocate the I beams. I mean seriously come on you can tell all that without even pulling it in. So i called another garage close to where my store is and sure enough the they said there is no way he could have saw that without putting it on the machine. But in any event which camber kit do you all recommend??
 
I know they make +3* kits. I've installed them.
 
Napa offers the part that can actually do 0 to 4 degrees. But it's useless until you have the truck on the alignment rack to see exactly the right one to use. (they offer a wide range depending on where your alignment is at)

Yeah, you need to get it on the rack and see where it is because the most effective bushings only offer about a degree of range (.5 to 1.5, 2 to 3, etc.) and you can't know which one you need until its on the rack and measured.
 
I knew it. Sounds like he was being lazy. I was reading in the tech library about adjustable bushings. What do you think?? Cause the alignment place i wanna take it to is like 20 miles away from my house and i dont wanna toast my new tires.
 
well i deffinetly wouldnt take it back to that one shop with that dude workin there. you would probably wind up worse than now.

my understanding is that you can figure about 1 deg of camber alignment to every inch of lift. unless you use the drop bracket.
I only went up 2" and they used a 2 deg camber bushing. they couldnt figure out how to use the adjustable bushings.
 
ohhhh so i was right the first time i didnt misread it. Hmmm... So probably the napa 0 - 4 degree camber bushing is the way to go.

I'd go to the place 20 miles away. It shouldn't damage your tires irreparably. If you can actually notice the inner edge wear after 20 miles, rotate them to get the damaged ones on the rear for a few thousand miles.
 
Just got back from Advance, and got both bushings. 0 - 4 degrees. Part # is
K80109 if anyone needs this.
 
i may try this.. will it work for the d28 and d35? i guess i could just build the 35 with them.. hurry and lets see it after it aligned! lol
 
good to know that part number. i may need it after i swap my coils to 6".
 
I just crossed the numbers and they say YES it will work with the D35. They were not cheap. 36.99 each:shok: yeah i know. but hey if it fixes it, its worth it. Fall is now here and i wanna enjoy it before winter and to fix something i might have missed. Then the SNOW :icon_bounceblue: Cant wait for the snow. Well i can but you guys know what im sayin.
 
the most snow i ever get is like 2 inches or so.... hahaha and the ppl here freak out over that lil bit of snow. i want to see a real snow, and play in the snow in the b2
