What is the Diffrence between 90TF-AA black top injector from a 92 Explorer & 92TF-AA red top injector from 94 Ranger?

What about using the 90TF-AA with the 94 Ranger electronics?

Ok, after STF & other searches I need to swap in the Red top injectors to use 94 Computer...

I just put a 94 4.0 from an Ex in my 97 Ex and they both had red top injectors. If the injectors are of different colors usually means they are different pound ratings if I remember correctly. If the Ranger has red top injectors now, the mass air should work fine with them, but if youre swapping to the red injectors you will need a mass air from something with the red injectors. The Explorers had them in the 94 4.0 judging from the 94 engine I put in and the 97 one I took out of mine had them also. Hope this helps you some.

the o2 sensors may be different too, i'm not sure, but they play a part in the fuel control

While they are a different flow rate the later injectors are internally/electrically different.

The "late" injectors are not "spindle" injectors but "Disc Pintle" injectors so they can open and close faster

You'll notice on examination that they don't generate a "hollow cone" spray pattern
like the earlier injectors, the late injectors use a four cone spray pattern...

For the lurkers, bigger is not necissarily better.

There is only ONE correct ammount of fuel.

Since it is a 92 block going into the 94 I'm swapping in the Red injectors from the 94. MAF and harness is all from the 94. As for the O2 sensors, which I have new because the original were setting a code (which I don't remember at the moment) but was something about bad O2 sensor. (Maybe because it was using 1qt of oil every 100 miles:icon_rofl:)
