Ok so i took a few of the comments from my build page and added them to the truck.

So the stacks are now black and also mitered the tops. not sure the angle on them... getting alot more good comments now that theyre black and mitered. Definitely alot better for the eye and just compliments the truck alot better.

Need better pics to see it better looks like a clean truck I'm not much on stacks but hey it's your truck right What does your headache rack look like if you have one can't tell from the Pic

Imma wash her up in the morning and then take sum better pics in the light.. And the Headache bar was made outta conduit and Rat Wire just to protect the back glass from shit gettin thrown in the truck... Cant afford a new window...

Im sorry dude, can appreciate the effort, but Im REALLY not a fan.

Definitely looks better than before. I still thinks it looks like you were too cheap/lazy to do stacks right through the bed so you just stuck them on the side, but I know its because you use your truck box. Still, it seems like if you cant do it right then dont do it.

I dont think it really looks too bad and you seem to really like it, so good job:icon_thumby:

Thanks Snomaker.. yea its kinda a Pain in the ass to already have the toolbox in the bed and lose that 1ft. and i had my buddy weld up the bracketry and i grround down the welds and what not to try and clean em up the best i could. but by anymeans it wasnt cheap.. The 2 5ft pipes were 37.50 each, 2 4inch 90's were 35 each, 4in flex was 5$ Muffler was 40, and all the bracketry was likw 20. ended up spending aboiut 450 total after paint, Labor costs for my buddy to weld it all up, cutting and grinding wheels and rubber grommets to protect the cab and bed and prevent the stacks from being 100 percent stationary to the cab. Wasnt the cheapest thing ever.. Im sure i coulda got away doing it through the bed for half that...

it was wise to put stacks outside of the bed.... when you sell that truck the first thing someone will do is rip those things right off.... so at least they wont have holes in the bed. the rest of it is nice though, and you did some nice stuff to it. just dont like stacks on anything, let alone gas v6s.

Haha side mounted tanks sounds kool but id have to lift it for sure and its not really in the budget right now... Clutch is next... Then getting new rear brakes.

cool, maybe steal a toyota rear end for a duely! (be sure its an even lift, dont want the back up higher than the front, a 2" suspension lift with 2 10 gallon side tanks, and a duelly axle in the rear).

Ive actually been wanting to go dually since i bought the truck... THinkin a dana 60 and then takin the stepside bed and moulding its sides onto mine to extend it out a bit... Might just get me a stepside bed and cut it down the middle, add a few inches of gap in the middle with some square tubeing and making it structually sound and then mounting it on the truck and creating my own tube tailgate to fit... Hmmm... haha theres a dually ranger on the web here sumwhere under show off ur trucks... like a 2008 Ranger with a dually rear and cab lights and what not looks pretty sweet... guy said he wanted to make it look like his wifes 250..

i like the idea but i dont think it looks good on a stock ranger at all. im not sure what your plans are but, i can see the side stacks on a well (6-10") lifted truck with full width 1ton axles and a 4bt. that would be very cool i think, the full width would kind of accommodate for the large side pipes. but to each his own... cool truck =]

you should take the bed off extend the frame go old skool with tandems... put a 5th wheel on and call it a day... Or fab up a sleeper then call it a day....

Sorry dude.....don't like!!! Looks like some bad sci fi movie channel tonka truck. What is the purpose of those do nothing but grab air and slow you down smoke stacks???
