tinted my tailights

yeah so tinted my tailights today, with rustoleum brand lense tint. haha it was pretty easy, buffed it a little bit with a brillo pad taped off the reverse lights and sprayed a couple coats on it. tomorrow ill take em back off, scuff em up a little bit and put the clear coat on what do yall think?

My Lights On My last 3 Vehicles have been completely blacked out, and i have never had a cop say anything about it.

oh and BTW the lights look awesome!

haha thanks man, i was unsure if i liked em at first butt they've grown on me kinda. and iv never heard of anyone getting introuble for em down here

in NC everyone who has blacked out tail lights gets ticketed out the wazoo.

sounds simple enough to me: if they don't ticket those lights where you live, then just stay there... don't go anywhere else... ever!!! :haha:

it looks good man, they just don't know how we do it down south. Cops don't care how dark your windows are, how bright your headlights are, and don't care about dark tail lights. black em out

oh yeah by no means DOT approved... i got pulled over for "doin 60 in 40" i told the cop i was doin 45 then he told me i had no tailights... i had tailights i checked when i got home after he gave me a ticket... but i did just redo them about a week before so one of them looked "out" cuz i messed it up. so i re did it and it looks wayyy better now. anyway i put the sylvania high out put bulbs in there so they would be brighter anyway and it was proof that i fixed it... took the ticket and receipt to court got out of it with out even talking to anybody.

and your right dude they dont care about anything down here. if you get a ticket in the city that i live in, odds are the cops have nothing to do that day and need there quota, i got pulled over again the week before i got the ticket for the tail lights, for running a stop sign cop was camping behind a bush by the stop sign in the middle of no where. and if you get a ticket for window tint, any bs offense then they are just plain bored.
