Default Adapter Plate??

I have been wanting to bolt a ranger v6 tranny to a ranger 4 cyl engine, but I heard that the v6(like 2.8,2.9,& 4.0) transmissions dont bolt up to the 4 cyl engines, so I got to thinking... you know how chevy trannys don't bolt up to B.O.P. blocks??? well why not copy the idea of an adapter plate?

Oh yea the reason I want to swap trannys is a 2wd to 4wd conversion.

Or ask someone who works on a lot of transmissions for a bare 4cyl transmission case to move your parts into?

I presume you have a "Mazda" trans??

I meant ask someone here on the forums...

Like me for example?

IF the transmission you want to work on has an integral bellhousing
(a cast part of the case) it's a Mazda.

I usually have a couple 4cyl transmission cases floating around.
