Hello all,
Soon I'll be picking up an 88 2.9 5 spd Supercab 4x4 from a friend. Originally I was going to pay $200 for the camper on it and truck comes free but they have since decided to give it to me (too many vehicles and I expressed interest in it a long time ago).
Almost everything has been rebuilt or worked on in the last 2 years (300k miles but still runs well). Before it was parked it a month or two ago (wish I had gotten sooner vs. sitting) had a head gasket leak (compression checked out well) so they put some Barrs Stop Leak in it and that seemed to take care of it.
I'll hopefully have sometime this weekend to drive it from it's current location to my parents (30 mins) or to my house (60 mins).
I'm not going for power (I already have a SVO blown 4.6L Tbird
for speed) but mainly to have a truck and another vehicle. The Tbird is fun trying to move beer brewing goodies, home improvement supplies, etc. I have a pull a part near me and plan on picking up the larger TB for all of $10 or so.
I'll post some pics once I get it. Off to post in the 2.9L forum.
