Default 2k5 Ranger Bolt Pistons

Okay, so it wasn't my bearing. YAY. It was my brake pads. YAY.

However, I seem to have another issue.

There are two bolts that hold the caliper in place. Both bolts screw into some sort of piston. One of the pistons is frozen in place.

Now what?

Now you either unseize the caliper slide pin, or replace the caliper bracket and get new slide pins.

sounds like its torch time. Get it really hot where the along the cast where the threads of the bolt are.

When it comes apart be sure to use antiseize compound/paste on the sliders when you put them back.

The calipers bolt to the Caliper pins which slide into the caliper bracket

The factory uses a scant ammount of grease and water can get
inside from wheeling... I strongly recommend that EVERYONE with
two piston calipers remove their calipers then the pins from the
brackets and coat them with a good waterproof (preferably synthetic)
grease, this will "head off" most future problems.

I've picked up some "gunk" and have been spraying it where it meets the housing and bashing it with a hammer every 15 minutes or so. I'll break out the torch later after the Browns lose.
