Throttle body opening and TPS adjustment?

Searched for, 'idle tps adjust adjustment' and found only this:

Oil pressure is generally proportional to RPM, so something is a bit off. It's kinda hard to make a system where the pressure falls faster than that. If it's really 15 PSI, it's in proportion.

Their used to be a sticky or in the tech/faq section but seems it got lost. What is the proper method and specs for throttle body opening (how far using feeler gauge or what?) and proper TPS adjustment?

I have a high idle at 1200 rpm and some possible roughness.

This how I do it on a 2.9L and it works fine.

Back probe the centre wire of the TPS connector with a digital volt meters (+) wire.

Connect the (-)wire of the volt meter to the (-) side of the battery.

Set the volt meter to 20 DC volts or a setting close to that.
Turn the key on with the engine off. (KOEO)

The volt meter should have a reading somewhere between 0.85 to 1 volt.
If not, turn the throttle plate adjuster screw in or out till this is achived.

I personally like to set the voltage as low as possible and still have it idle properly.
I've found from personal experience that if adjusted below 0.85 volts the engine will start to hunt for it's idle.
