iv searched around the forums and google, but how do i align my headlights for the ranger, i just got new ones, and they are pointing at the ground and its annoying, is there anything special i should know when doing this?

point your truck at a wall or the garage door, about 25 ft. away, and adjust them until the light on the wall is 3 1/2 to 4 foot off the ground.

The headlights will have numbers and letters on them. Like H12 V6...these are used to the set the proper headlight aligning tool up, then you adjust them until the bubble levels on the tool are level, and the mirrors line up between the 2 heads. (H = horizontal, V = vertical)

okay, well just wondering on the exact specs....
distance from wall and the height off floor and the space in between the foci of the beams. |

They mainly use them in states where there is an annual safety inspection requirement such as Pa. The Chilton or similar repair manuals show how to adjust them yourself by shining the beams against a wall.
