I’ve got a clunk noise coming from the front end of my truck, I hear it mostly when I back up with the wheel turned to the right..it happens regardless if I’m breaking or not. Over the last few months I thought I had found what it was..first I found a bad radius arm bushing and replaced them both, found that my passenger side axle slip joint was so rusted and rotted it clunked so I replaced it and did the c clip eliminator, while I was replacing the axle I found a bad ball joint so I replaced them all, has all new u joints in the front as well. My brake pads didn’t have the anti rattle clips so I just installed those yesterday…the front end definitely feels better and has a lot less noises but the clunk is still there. I have checked all the nuts and bolts on the lift, coil retaining nut, pitman arm and tre’s . Its hard to narrow down but I think its in the driver side. Any suggestions on what else to check:icon_confused:

Retorque all your lift brackets. See if that helps.

Yep, I've done that a couple times. I figured I would find the culprit when I pulled the front end off to install my lock-rite but nothing was loose or had any signs of wear:annoyed:

It's when you back up...? It don't happen to be when you hit the gas?

Check your motor mounts. My girls Jeep has a clunk in the front in reverse, but I know her's is motor mounts.

when backing up it clunks, then clunks again going forward....Im kinda thinking maybe its my steering box since it usually only happens when the wheel is turned:icon_confused:

Could be, but other than that I'm at a loss without seeing it in person.
Jack it up and start shakin and prying on stuff.

Check the slip joint on the driveshafts they are known to clunk

The slip joint on the ds is fine. I think my driver side steering knuckle is it.... I think the inner pad even with the anti rattle clip is moving, anyone know what the measurments should be where the pad goes?
