I don't know what Transfercase my chevy has but I have to factory IFS and it is Driver side drop nd it is more compact than th3 13-56 in my Bronco.... could this be another T-case choice for running a V8 in a ranger?

chevy bolt pattern to transmission is offset compared to ford but that can be fixed with a clock rig, the problem is the transfercase input shaft, the splines are different, so you would need to make a spud shaft and spacer, unless ford uses the t-case like the np208 you can swap the input shafts(my plan to make a pass drop ford drivetrain, using a dodge np208 with ford np208 input)
 
I believe, but am not sure, that your chevy would have a np241. Depends on what year the truck is.
 
The 241 is basically an upgraded 208. IIRC, they just added a pump to help oiling. Both of these (for a chevy) would be passenger side drop though, and from the original post you're looking for a drivers drop? Anyways, the downside to these cases, is they're chain driven.
 
yeah I meant to say it is a driver side drop. I didn't think that beast existed but it drops to the driver side........ I was checking all my boxes today so I had it up on a rack....
 
The NP241 was available in both passenger (88-91) and driver side output (88+ K series). My 1991 has a driver-side output NP241. The suburban that I pulled my double cardan driveshaft from was a passenger-side output NP241.

The bolt pattern and input shaft would be different enough to prevent this from really being cost effective.
